Chakra Communication – First and Fourth chakras

If you aren’t familiar with chakras please read my past blog post on the first and fourth chakras.

The interaction between the fourth and first chakra can be very intense.  As I read this for people I see a lot of past-life energy stored here as well as struggles to love ourselves and the world and feel safe.  This is about feeling safe to love. The pictures within shows a funny example of when you think it is safe the love knocks you over and you aren’t so sure! attempts2

This space is about survival in love. Love of the planet, love of yourself, love of friends, love of lovers, etc. Have you ever broken up with someone and it hurt so much you felt like you were going to die with pain? That is the first and fourth communicating. This doesn’t have to be a painful thing though. But often times we feel threatened to open ourselves up to love, because we feel vulnerable and unsafe. We feel like if we show too much love, people will take advantage of us and hurt us.

However, when they are communicating, we are in touch with the power of love and feel safe in that feeling. Which to me, is one of the best feelings in the world.   We feel our connection between us and the world we live in. We feel safe to nurture ourselves and others because we do not fear the consequences, we just trust them. This can be a powerful enhancer of your ability to happy in your life. If you don’t feel safe to connect with love… this makes social situations painful, the planet feel unsafe, and the world seems like a cold and lonely place.

Insightful Inspiration for the week

Check in with yourself. Do you think this communication is working? Do you feel safe to offer love to everyone? Are there certain people you don’t feel safe to love? How come you don’t feel safe? Do you have the mindset that being open to love is naive and makes you an easy target?

We are all connected and connecting is safe on so many levels. When done with the intention of love and compassion, the returns can be astounding. This week, try and open yourself up to love someone you wouldn’t normally feel safe to do so with. Maybe it is the homeless guy on the street and you ofter him a smile and eye contact. Maybe it is your signifant other who has hurt you in some way and you open yourself up to show that it hurt because you LOVE them and care, not that you are closed off to them.

Find safety in love. It is the only thing that gets us through the day.

Have a love filled week!

Journey through YOUR energy system: Part 4 – Heart Chakra

The fourth chakra – the heart chakra. This is my personal favorite and one I love to over use. This is where your affinity for yourself and others comes in. Your love for the world, your dog, anything you enjoy in life. If it is in balance you accept yourself and others. Out of balance you become insecure, jealousy, controlling, or withdrawn.

This is a big place of programmed beliefs. Things you learned growing up about how to love, who deserves love, what society accepts, etc. This is a great place, in my opinion, to own your space for yourself but clearing out this programming and replacing it with information from within yourself about who you are as spiritual person.

Here are some questions to ask yourself to identify blocks in the heart chakra. How do you feel about yourself? What do you love about yourself? What do you dislike about yourself? Can you love yourself unconditionally?

What do you dislike in others? How does that dislike in others related back to you? For example, if you dislike people who are greedy, what does that trigger in you? Is it resentment for feeling like you can’t ask for what you need and want. Is it a greedy side of yourself that you don’t want to acknowledge? Or maybe it represents a behavior one of your parents portrayed and you feel it takes away love from you when they act this way. Really dig in on this one and find out why you dislike this behavior in others. What does it represent for your. Our reactions to the outside world are mirrors of what is happening on the inside. When we feel dislike towards someone it is really coming from within.

What prejudices do you have?  Poor people/rich people? Gay/straight? Skinny/fat? Loud/quiet? Any of these words trigger a response in you? This is a block in the heart chakra and is worth investigating. Some of you might try and argue that it is right and wrong that you are judging in others, but that feels different. What is right for you is right for you and doesn’t require a judgment but more of being where you need to be. It is the judgment that is the trigger calling you to find the block.  Make sense?

As you are doing this be sure to be kind to yourself for what ever you find. Part of the heart chakra being in balance is unconditional love for yourself no matter what blocks you have or what judgments you encounter.  It is who you are now and who you are tomorrow will be different anyway.

My final inspiration is to love yourself this week. Do little things to show yourself love. Get a massage, take a walk, buy a latte… whatever represents a little extra TLC to yourself everyday.  Make a point to appreciate who you are in mind, body and spirit.

I appreciate and love you all. Thanks for reading.
